From last meeting — May 19, 2026

  • Resident Amanda Westerman, a mother of three who has lived in the township for 13 years, said she only learned two weeks ago that the project was a data center and not a warehouse. She organized a petition that gathered over 700 signatures in less than two days. As of 5/25, the petition has over 2300 signatures. SIGN HERE.

  • Township Manager John Shepherd noted that when the KTC operated as U.S. Steel, the mill used considerable amounts of water and electricity, and that the state, not the township, regulates utility usage. He also pointed out that the Falls supervisors do not have the authority to deny a project simply because it may not be popular.

  • Supervisor Chairman Jeff Dence told residents directly: "It can't be stopped. It's not going to be stopped." He said the township would work to arrange a town hall and invite Amazon representatives to answer questions publicly.
